While driving down the road at the refuge, we spotted this frog resting on a branch and soaking up the late afternoon sun.

Looks like he was eyeing a potential meal.Or just got one. I was photographing fly catchers swooping down close to the water when a bullfrog popped up out of the water attempting to nab one of the fly catchers.
That would have been fun to see. I’m sure that you’re right that he is set to pounce.

Looks like man and “beast” enjoy a little sun in their face. And he/she is treading water to stay afloat and hanging onto the branch too. That is a great close-up Rebecca!
