Supermoon going down

These pictures were taken on the morning of January 2, 2018 as the sun was rising and the full moon was setting in the western sky.

“When one starts thinking of the full moon as a common sight that will come again to one’s eyes ad-infinitum, the value of life is diminished and life goes by uncherished.”  ~Roman Payne

The moon and Venus

A waxing crescent moon and Venus, in the west-southwest part of the sky shortly before sunset on October 3, 2016.  The two brightest heavenly bodies in the sky reflecting the light of the sun.  A pretty sight to see at the close of the day.

“Today I shall behave, as if this is the day I will be remembered.”  ~Dr. Seuss

Lovely Moon

“So imagine that the lovely moon is playing just for you – everything makes music if you really want it to.”  ~Giles Andreae

Moon through the pine trees

I stepped out my back door the other night and was pleasantly greeted by a big, bright full moon shining down at me through the trees .  Sometimes all you can say is “Wow!!!”  🙂

The moon, like a flower
In heaven’s high bower,
With silent delight
Sits and smiles on the night.
~William Blake
