“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” ~Maya Angelou
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny, warm day here in West Tennessee. While I was out for an afternoon stroll, I noticed some wildflowers blooming that I don’t usually expect to see in November. The warm temperatures this autumn have them all confused. With a cold front rolling in this week, this is probably the last I’ll see of these pretty blooms for a while, but it was nice to have one last nice day to enjoy them.
“I have never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.” ~Daniel Boone
Discovery Park of America, located in Union City, Tennessee featured a Pumpkin Village during the month of October. Included in the village were cornstalk horses, hay bale creatures and a scarecrow village. Here are a few photos my husband took of this outdoor display.
“I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkin and crisp sunburnt leaves.” ~Unknown
