Who says a turtle can’t climb a tree? This little fellow was determined, and up he went, climbing higher and higher. I imagine he was also seeking a sunny spot to relax.

We stopped to let this Red-eared Slider cross the road along the Mississippi levee. When it was safely across, it stopped and gave us a backward glance as we passed by.
