Tufted Titmouse

A small energetic bird, the Tufted Titmouse tends to evade my camera more often than not.  With a clear echoing voice, it flits through the bushes in our backyard.  Then, unexpectedly, it drops to the feeder to snatch a sunflower seed before hastily retreating to a secluded branch to crack open its prize.

“Ambition is the path to success.  Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.”  ~Bill Bradley

Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit.  Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.  ~St. Francis de Sales

Tufted Titmouse

I enjoy the lively energy this small bird exudes as he flutters from feeder to bush to tree — his echoing voice clearly declaring his presence. To be so small, he certainly holds his own with the other birds.

“I’m not going to give up, shut up, or let up, until I’m taken up … as a matter of fact, I’m just getting warmed up!”  ~Zig Ziglar

Tufted Titmouse

Tufted titmice are frequent visitors to my feeders.  It is not always easy to get a photo of them because they flit in and out so quickly.  I usually hear their clear echoing voice before I actually see them, which is my cue to get my camera ready.

“Those who wish to sing … always find a song.”  ~Swedish Proverb
