“… we can easily ignore the beauty hidden in the twigs, weeds, and overcrowded growth. Yet there is beauty present, when we take the time to soak it in, think about it, and be grateful for it.”  ~John Mertz

All confused

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny, warm day here in West Tennessee.  While I was out for an afternoon stroll, I noticed some wildflowers blooming that I don’t usually expect to see in November.  The warm temperatures this autumn have them all confused.  With a cold front rolling in this week, this is probably the last I’ll see of these pretty blooms for a while, but it was nice to have one last nice day to enjoy them.

Partridge peas

These partridge peas which grow wild along our country road add simple beauty and cheerful color to the landscape.

Weeds and wildflowers

I enjoy the variety of weeds and wildflowers that grow along our country road.  They add character and beauty to the landscape that can easily be overlooked.
