I hear you. We live in a part of Orange County, New York known as the Black Dirt region and famed for its onions. From April through November I know there’s always a strong chance I’ll be stuck behind a tractor if I take the route through the fields. I’ve come to have a great appreciation for the rear of farm machinery. I especially love the old ones that look like they’ve been around since the Great Depression.

The old ones are my favorites too, though I’m sure the new ones are much more comfortable.
I’ve never been to West Tennessee, but I know the experience you refer to.
I’m sure the same scene plays out all across the country. 🙂
