Moth caterpillars

I found these little caterpillars while I was cutting back some blackberry bushes.  They seemed to be enjoying the sunshine and each other’s company.  I believe the gray one is a Banded Tussock Moth Caterpillar and the yellow one is an American Dagger Moth Caterpillar.

Partridge peas

These partridge peas which grow wild along our country road add simple beauty and cheerful color to the landscape.

Preparing for winter

This little squirrel was busy collecting nuts for a future snack.  He paused momentarily for a couple of photos before scampering off behind the barn to bury them.
