Earlier today, a flock of American robins mixed with cedar waxwings descended upon the holly trees in our front yard. They systematically harvested the berries and then quickly moved on to their next destination. What a treat to watch these beautiful birds in action!
Definitely a treat! I am so glad you were able to get some photos 🙂
They didn’t seem to mind my presence at all. They were much too busy with the task at hand.
You did have a lot of visitors. We saw a flock of Cedar Waxwings on the Crape Myrtles one year. I couldn’t believe how many there were.
The first year I saw a feeding flock they were all cedar waxwings. But the last two years, there have been more robins than waxwings. I would think there were well over 100. They were sitting in the trees and bushes, on the roof and in the field across from our house. It’s really hard to miss all the chatter and activity.
Wow!!
