A waxing crescent moon and Venus, in the west-southwest part of the sky shortly before sunset on October 3, 2016. The two brightest heavenly bodies in the sky reflecting the light of the sun. A pretty sight to see at the close of the day.

Seeing roughly the same sky last night (February 28, 2020). Venus so bright and the moon a mere sickle!
