A sun dog seen in the sky near our house in November.
“There are people who can achieve huge success in life, while adding a bit of fun and a splash of colour to this increasingly grey world.” ~Peter James
Sun Dogs are basically ice crystals high up. They always form in the 3 & 9 o’clock positions. The crystals form into flat hexagonal plates. There can’t be any wind. They sort themselves into a horizontal position. The light refracts through the crystal like a prism. They fore tell of bad weather approaching.
Great shots Rebecca!
