don’t forget the busy bees! I’ve also seen Crab spiders hiding underneath the petals waiting for dinner! They can actually change their colouring to camouflage themselves!
I’ll certainly have to keep that in mind in case I’m ever inclined to pick one. 🙂

Thanks, Wayne! Yes, these are purple cornflowers, a species of Echinacea. They have very bright and showy flowers that the butterflies seem to love.
