Last year as I sat in our cabin with the door open, a hummingbird flew to the doorway and had a good look inside … hovered at least a minute and then buzzed away. A lovely memory!
A nice memory indeed! Thanks for sharing it. They seem to be curious little birds. Sometimes when I sit on a bench under the feeder, one will come and hover in front of my face for a few seconds, checking me out. I think that they grow to recognize and gain trust in the one who fills the feeders.
