can you tell which one is the female Rebecca?
I’ve read that the female is usually a little larger than the male, so I am guessing she is the one on the left. What are your thoughts?
the females are 1/3 larger.If I were to hazard a guess,the one on the right is the female.
Noticed in the second shot from the top on the left.The chest size is larger on the one on the right.I normally compare the head/beak size,but because of the branches,I’m using the chest width.
Sounds plausible to me. The one on the right was harder to see. It tended to stay more hidden than the one on the left.
I too have found that the females are more skittish as well. It took years for Juliette to trust me,but Maggie took to me right away.They each have unique personalities!
It is neat that you have gained their trust. They are such beautiful birds and so much fun to observe.
yes,It did take years but the time just flew by (pun intended) being around them!
