Now is the time to enjoy them isn’t it? I think our very hot July and many torrential rains has not only produced lush grass in July (it is usually brown and crispy by now) but produced more wildflowers than usual. My favorites here are your yellow and pink Coneflowers. It looks like the butterfly likes them too.
The wildflowers do seem to be flourishing in all the heat and summer showers. I know what you mean about the grass. No sooner than we get ours mowed, it already looks like it needs mowing again.
We have the yellow Daisies, but not the yellow Coneflowers unless I just have not seen them.
That’s a first for the grass – it is usually defined as “crispy” by late July.
