Yes, I put all my plants out on my deck in the 73 degree weather yesterday, and had to bring them all back in today because it went back down to 53 that and will be for the next two weeks. I end up doing that every February and March trying to rush spring in before it’s ready.
If we can just hold on tight a little longer Rebecca, we will be rewarded (hopefully). We only have Snow Drops here (if they survived the last two ice storms, one just this past Friday and more icy mess slated for tomorrow morning). I think the Snow Drops are resilient. I have seen some green leaves of the tulips that are planted beneath a memorial tree at the Park, but no Daffodils … yet. Hopefully soon. Love the turtles sunbathing!!
I could tell by the weather reports that you got slammed again this past weekend. I know that with all the ice and snow you’ve had, Spring will be all the sweeter. π
Michigan kept making the news headlines for our ice storms and our massive power outages. Altogether for the Upper and Lower Peninsula it was 680,000 customers with no power. I heard nothing about the power outages in today’s news, so I think the last of the power outages have been resolved. As a matter of fact, one neighborhood in my city (Lincoln Park) had a crew of workers from Tennessee and I hope those linemen tell this story when they finally return home (perhaps you’ll read about it). Anyway, it was bitter cold and this group of linemen was working hard and a resident was grateful and kept bringing out snacks and had her picture taken with the linemen and posted it in the Facebook Residents Forum. Then those linemen were famous for a few days as they made the rounds in our City. They were identifiable from not only those pics, but also by the neon yellow jackets they were wearing. Yes, Spring will be sweeter Rebecca. We have two more bouts of snow in the next week and I hope that’s it!
That’s a great story! Thanks for sharing it. I’m glad all the power has been restored. We’ve lost power before when it was very cold and it was no fun. I hope you don’t get hit too badly with the coming snow. Looking forward to Monday, March 20, 2023 — the first day of Spring! π
Glad I shared that nice story with you Rebecca. They were the heroes of the neighborhood for sure. They’ve upped the storm totals (4-8) and now saying heavy snow … I’m ready to spring to Spring!
I see it too, my friend. Flowers are appearing, and so too the warmer weather. Wishing you a wonderful Spring season, dear Rebecca ππΊπ»
Yes, each day new blooms appear. Looking forward to seeing your East Tennessee Spring photos.
You too, Rebecca π€
Yay! π

Yes, I’m sure that even with all the budding and blooming going on, there are several more cold snaps to come.
Those Spring Flowers began early π
They do seem to be on the early side this year. My Japanese magnolia blooms opened up this week. I’m hoping a cold snap doesn’t kill them.
