Some of the remnants of autumn staunchly stood their ground, while others lay intertwined just below the surface of the winter ice.

“Winter, come rest your soul on autumn’s weary head. Twirl, shimmer, soften before tucking fall to bed.” ~Angie Weiland-Crosby
Beautiful photography of these seasonal, winter scenes, Rebecca ~ thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks, Phil!
Brrr… I can feel how cold it must have been!
There is so much beauty in each season. All we need do is open our eyes ❤️
Very true, Kathy!
What a different view of the landscape when everything is encased in ice. We are finally turning a corner this weekend, after three brutal weeks of every type of precip and no sun. I especially like the brown leaf frozen into the ice.
Thanks, Linda. We’ve actually had spring-like weather here this past week. How erratic the weather has been.
I’m looking forward to our warm-up which is just what we need after this wacky Winter. Yes, this erratic weather sure leaves me wondering what Mother Nature has in store for us long-term.
A wonderful collection of images!
Thanks! There’s so much beauty to see at that time of the year.
