I was at home, going about my usual routine, when I heard a commotion outside. At first, I tried to ignore it, but the clamor continued. Curious, I looked out the front window and was thrilled to see long strings of Snow geese soaring high in the sky over the fields adjacent to my house. What an amazing sight! Occasionally, we drive for an hour or more just to see these beautiful birds. Apparently, sometimes you go looking for them, and sometimes, they come right to you.
Below is a small segment of the geese that passed overhead.

always nice when company drops in!
They certainly liven thing up. 🙂
That was a nice surprise You got some great photos and the video is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Sometimes blessings find us. 🙂 Thanks, Mags.
Indeed they do, Rebecca.
How fun! Glad they kept making noise to get your attention.
They were very hard to ignore but once I realized what it was, I was thrilled.
What a thrilling scene that must have been. I’ve yet to experience snow geese, as we’re outside their migration flyways. Thanks for the video! 🙂
Put it on your bucket list. There’s nothing like seeing a large flock on the ground when they are startled and take off in unison. The sound is unforgettable.
How exciting to view these magnificent birds right outside your house. I’m sure they were noisy.
I’m very thankful that I didn’t miss them, but they certainly stir things up when they are around. 🙂
What beautiful birds! I always love seeing them high above when they’re migrating. Sometimes in spring or autumn, I can even hear them in the night sky. I always wish them good luck and a safe flight.
They are a thrilling sight both in the air and on the ground. I was pleased to see such a large flock.
They sure were animated Rebecca. I’m glad you got them in the video too. As Wayne always says “right place and right time” … you lucked out without taking a car trip to see them.
You’re so right, Linda. Right place and right time. Hopefully they’ll come back this way again soon.
I hope you see them again Rebecca – keep your eye to the sky! (And your ears tuned in as well!)
I love to watch geese as well
The snow geese are really putting on quite a show here this week — strings and strings of them high in the sky. Thanks, Sheryl.
