Autumn butterflies

Even though cooler weather has arrived, several butterflies are still lingering around, tempted by a variety of wildflowers that are currently in bloom.

  1. You have lots of colorful butterflies! I found the last fat caterpillar (black swallowtail larva) when I cleared the gardens for winter, and put him in the aquarium with fresh fennel and the other chrysalides overwintering in my laundry room.
