Even though cooler weather has arrived, several butterflies are still lingering around, tempted by a variety of wildflowers that are currently in bloom.
“Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life, and everyone deserves a little sunshine.” ~Jeffrey Glassberg
great focus – lovely shots
Thanks, Maureen!
Great photos – wish we had so many round here!
I think they like the warm, humid weather more than I do. 🙂
Those are beautiful. Cheers!
Thanks!
Excellent images and a nice variety of butterflies. Was that a monarch? I hope it is well south of here by now–it’s a long way to Mexico.
Thank you! Yes, I saw this Monarch earlier in October. Our weather here has been pretty mild so far.
Those are exceptionally nice photos!
Beautiful shots! All our butterflies are gone now…
What gorgeous pictures!
Thank you!
You have lots of colorful butterflies! I found the last fat caterpillar (black swallowtail larva) when I cleared the gardens for winter, and put him in the aquarium with fresh fennel and the other chrysalides overwintering in my laundry room.
We did have lots of beautiful butterflies this summer! I still saw several on my walks last week when the weather was still sunny and warm.
