A Great Blue Heron wading through swampy water near Reelfoot Lake.
“Have you noticed how children never bypass a puddle of water, but jump, splash, and slosh right through it? That’s because they know an important truth: Life was meant to be lived; puddles were meant to be experienced.” ~Richelle E. Goodrich
Love that quote.
When I was a child, I enjoyed wading through mud puddles. There’s nothing like the feeling of squishing mud through your toes. 🙂
Lovely pterodactyl! 😉
I hadn’t ever thought of it quite that way. 🙂
I think the herons really look like pterodactyls, they also would pas for dragons. They are probably a bigger than pterodactyls were, but probably not too much bigger.
If I take my grandkids home dirty, I know we’ve had a good hike 🙂
Sounds like you know how to have a fun time — one that they will look back and remember. 🙂
Finding a GBH is always a good day! Love the quote. Wish my mother had read that. 😉
