I can’t remember the last time I saw a turtle Rebecca? I checked……we have two,but they hang around only in fresh water lakes/ponds. I guess I don’t get out to these places very often.
I’m glad you were able to locate a couple. I look for them every time we go to the lake. It seemed like the numbers had dwindled at one time, but they appear to be more plentiful lately. They usually jump off the logs when humans approach, but these were enjoying the sunlight too much.
I love turtles. This post reminded me that I walked by the duck pond at the university today and forgot to go over and say high to the turtles.
They’re one of my favorite animals.
