A few of the “winged things” that I have taken photos of during the summer.
“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” ~Leonardo da Vinci
Beautiful set of birds, bees, butterflies and moths. The Polyphemus Moth is amazing.
Thanks! First Polyphemus Moth that I’ve seen. I wish the wings had been open, but, oh well, you take what you can get. 🙂
Wonderous!
Thank you Cindy!
That is a unique way to create a post, combining all the “winged things” you’ve encountered and the quote you picked pairs with it perfectly Rebecca. I have been collecting some pics all Summer to use in one post about what I see on a walk. The photos have grown and hopefully after I weed them out, it won’t be too long of a post.
Thanks Linda. Weeding them out is the hard part. Sometimes it’s hard to choose.
That is for sure … to you and I who took the pictures, the do NOT look alike … but to others they might wonder why you used the same picture. We just appreciate the beauty of each one..
I love hawks!! I hope to make it to the mountains again this year to see the migration.
They are amazing to see! I hope you make it.
I think I saw 5 that day.. nothing like sitting on top of the world watching them ride the thermals out of sight…
