I was at Lake Erie Metropark a few weeks ago in the morning and really saw nothing but the ducks splashing around, so I put away the camera and walked to the car to drive out of the park and go to another park. So, this park is five miles square – I’d driven about a mile when I saw a huge Great Blue Heron in the marsh and a deer walking across the road. Camera in the backseat and people behind me on the road – oh well. Murphy’s Law I guess.
Yes, unfortunately that’s how it sometimes works out. Been there, done that. 🙂
Yes, and even my Park where I go daily, some days there is absolutely nothing. I was there today – not a single critter (very unusual) but on Saturday, there were squirrels and blue jays everywhere. Nature is strange sometimes.
Yes indeed! If it’s as hot there as it is here, I’m sure the little critters are tucked away in a cool, shady place. 🙂
Bambi in the bushes. Nice shot.
Perfect title. 🙂
Thank you Rebecca for sharing this photograph of the elegant mature white tailed deer.
It’s always a treat to see one!
A nice find – and a perfect quote to document that find.
Thanks Linda! It’s unusual to see one out in the open in the morning. We see them quite often around sunset.

Thank you, Peter!
