Hello. It’s been years and years since I’ve seen a turtle. I live in built-up suburbia, so there’s probably no turtles around here. But I occasionally am in pretty natural areas. Haven’t seen any there either, but maybe I just wasn’t paying attention.
These are great shots up close of the turtles – a wide variety. The first picture with the complete reflections of the turtles on the water and the shell that looks golden is really amazing.
Those are big, beautiful red eared sliders.

They certainly have a beauty all their own. It’s like the sun is radiating off of them. So cool!
I always enjoy seeing them sunning around the lake. The habitat just wouldn’t seem right without them.

I guess returning to the same places frequently, I have learned where I am most likely to see turtles in our area and always look for them there.
