A flock of white pelicans has arrived at Reelfoot Lake on their annual fall migration. We try not to miss a chance to see these beautiful, impressive birds.

That’s a beautiful lot of pelicans.
Thanks! They are very impressive birds!
Fun is…
Yes, indeed! 🙂
God must have a sense of humor. The pelicans are indeed strange looking birds. The photos where they’re lined up makes them look like a chorus line.
There’s no sense in waiting for them all to hold their heads up and pose for the camera. It just isn’t going to happen. 🙂
Great captures, Rebecca! Love the contrast with that blue water, and the shots of the single standing on that stump made me laugh. They are rather goofy looking.
Thanks, Ellen. I think I may have disturbed his nap.
I love to see white pelicans! I really enjoyed your beautiful captures of them. My favorites are the two photos of them lined up in the water. I’ve seen them do that in Florida.
Thank you! I am always thrilled to see them. They are such graceful swimmers, but not so graceful when they take off and land. I also enjoy watching them soar across the sky. Once again, very graceful.
Super! I’ve never seen real live pelicans before. Must be wonderful in person!
Yes it is, and the closer, the better. 🙂
Love these pelican pictures!
Thanks! 🙂
