There’s a certain beauty about nature in silhouette. A silhouette leaves room for the imagination and seems to create a mood and story of its own.

“My imagination has always been inspired by nature’s vision.” ~Gregory Colbert

“When you are describing,
A shape, or sound, or tint;
Don’t state the matter plainly,
But put it in a hint;
And learn to look at all things,
With a sort of mental squint.”
~Lewis Carroll
Nice set, Rebecca. I esp. like the mourning doves on the wires… there is something perfect in its simplicity, perhaps because they are all heading in the same direction.
Thanks, Eliza! The mourning doves seem to like sitting on the wires about the time the sun is setting. I enjoy seeing them.
Beautiful.
Thank you!
What a wonderful post Rebecca. The silhouettes are so distinct. I especially like the bird with the spider in his beak and those doves which you can so easily identify by their shape and long tail. This is a great collection.
Thanks, Linda. I agree that the bluebird with the spider in its mouth is also one of my favorites.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Ana!
