l was excited when this Monarch floated gently by and landed on the leaf of a nearby tree. This was the first one that I had seen this year, though I have since spotted others.

How wonderful to see a Monarch floating by! This is a lovely male — noted by the black dots in the middle of its hindwings. I hope you see many more Monarchs this season!

That’s a beautiful Monarch you captured Rebecca, with not a single tatter on its wings. I wonder if it just emerged from its chrysalis – a maiden flight.

I’ve been seeing a lot more of these beautiful creatures lately. It could be because I’ve planted lots of colorful perennials. Not sure. It’s a welcome sight though. Your photography is wonderul.
