The sunflower — one of my favorite flowers. These beauties were growing in a garden at a resort on Reelfoot Lake. They really seemed to be attracting the bees and goldfinch.

Just beautiful, and so colorful this late into the year. I was disappointed when I went to see the field of sunflowers at Ford Motor Company that I could not get in to see them – they had a guard posted there, so no access unless you were an employee. They will plow over the field soon to make new building, so I’ll need to find another sunflower source to visit – a project for next year.
I hope you’re able to find another source. A field of sunflowers is a joy to see!

I haven’t, but I have tried them already baked and thought they were really good. I know my birds really like them.
