Signs of spring all around

A recent leisurely walk in a wooded park on a warm, sunny afternoon revealed ample evidence that springtime is finally here.

“It’s spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you’ve got it, you want — oh you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!”  ~Mark Twain

  1. Spring has definitely sprung in your area. We’re still waiting to see grass. So far we still have a bit of snow cover and lots of mud. Your photos give hope of things to come.

  2. Well it does my heart good to see this Rebecca – Spring is somewhere, although here in SE Michigan we are still stuck in Winter mode. Returning home from my walk, I encountered a wintry precip/snow squall. We only have snowdrops that have surfaced thus far. That’s a beautiful shot of the Supermoon.

    • I think we got the least amount of snow this year that we’ve ever gotten. But we got lots and lots of rain. Things have really greened up here this past week. It won’t be long until mowing season is upon us. The super moon was a beautiful sight sitting so big and bright up in the sky! I’m glad I got to see it.

      • We didn’t get much snow at all, but a lot of ice, that Polar Vortex and two bouts of brutal cold. Our Winter will linger, and when I went to the large park today to walk, there was ice everywhere on the cement path – the ground is too frozen to let the rainwater saturate in. I like when everything comes out in the Spring, especially the flowering trees.
